IMPORTANT NOTICE TO APPLICANT:
Accelerated flight training students can expect very busy days for the entire 14 days of training. This program has been compared to drinking from a fire hose. It is not for everyone. Here is an example of a day of training for an accelerated private pilot applicant.
An example of a day in an accelerated private pilot programMeet at office at 0730 am08:00-09:00 - 0.5-1.0 hour simulator brief09:00-10:30 - 1.5 hour simulator session10:30-10:45 - :15 minute break10:45-12:15 - 1hr 30 min aircraft flight training session12:15-13:15 – Lunch break and instructor debrief14:00-1700 – Flight Training in the airplaneStudents will be expected to review the days lesson and prepare for the next during at home/hotel study. Some days will be more simulator than the airplane and others more airplane than the simulator, it just depends on the progress of the student.
YOUR INSTRUCTOR WILL HAVE YOU DO THE FOLLOWING PRIOR TO FLIGHT TRAINING***PRIOR TO FLIGHT TRAINING***
All you need is an Ipad then download a Cessna Trainging Kit or similar program and download and subscribe to ForeFlight. That’s all you need to get started.
You will need:
OPTIONAL - Complete Gleims or Jeppson or ASA
AND
HAVE PASSED THE PRIVATE PILOT KNOWLEDGE EXAM WITH A 70% OR HIGHER PREFFERED - Purchase an Aviation Headset (preferably with ANR) REQUIRED - Apply for a Student Pilot Certificate REQUIRED - Obtain a 3rd Class Medical Certificate from an AME
