Mikhail was born and raised in the Corvallis area graduating at West Albany High School and finishing his bachelor's degree at the University of Oregon. Instead of attending grad school Mikhail got a job at Southwest Airlines for the sole purpose of obtaining some free travel, but it was there that he found a passion for aviation and developed new career goals. In-between his time at Southwest Airlines and becoming a pilot, Mikhail spent a few years abroad experiencing foreign cultures and volunteering in Africa. After broadening his horizons, Mikhail returned home in order to pursue his dream of becoming a career pilot. In a short time, Mikhail earned a commercial pilot certificate, CFI and CFII instructing certificates, and has flown Cessnas in over 10 states spanning the length of the U.S. from the state of Washington to Florida. Currently Mikhail is instructing at Pegasus Aviation while building towards ATP certification.
